Features:
Arabian Dance is dedicated to my former band directors, Arden Keen and John Thompson. This exciting work uses the melodic motif from Camille Saint-Saens’ “Bacchanale" from Samson and Delilah. This work is guaranteed to send your listeners and students to the Arabian desert where they can visualize encountering camels, sand, flying magic carpets and even a genie or two. The beautiful middle section features a lush alto saxophone solo. So, sit back and hold on as we head to the land of Pharaohs, pyramids, and Egyptian secrets. I hope you enjoy performing “Arabian Dance."
